Yves Rocher called upon Jacques Cavallier, Master Perfumer passionate about natural raw material, to create the the fragrance:

"Quintessence of Vanilla, these deep black pods offer an infinity of olfactory tones, that are in turn honeyed, ambered, woodened, caramelized…In the reassuring indulgence of a traditional vanilla, I preferred to reveal the surprising sensuality of this mythical ingredient".

The vanilla pods come from a long and careful treatment of 18 months, 9 months for them to reach maturity and 9 more for them to give off their aromas. According to their country of origin, vanilla pods develop specific olfactory nuances.

Freshly picked and still green, the pods are first scalded by being immersed in a hot water bath. Then, they are placed in blankets where they acquire their lovely dark chocolate color. A drying follows - in an oven, in the sun, in the shade - before being placed in wooden trunks for 8 months. It is there, in the darkness, that they develop their aromas of honey, rum and blended barks.

Removed from the trunks, they are stretched and smoothed by hand. The most attractive among them are regrouped into bundles. Only the blackest, shiniest and fleshiest pods are carefully selected to make Vanilla Noire

This creation is based on the three most attractive qualities of vanilla, which unveil a treasure trove of nuances and subtleties on your skin:

• the sensual, leathery notes of Vanilla Bourbon Absolute,
• sweet and floral Tahitian Vanilla Absolute,
• Ugandan Vanilla Absolute with its spicy, woody character.

This unique signature scent, its top colored with the radiant freshness of Mandarin, mingles with a heart of velvety tones of Mimosa and is accompanied by a base of resonating Cedar."
