What causes puffy eyes in the morning?

For your eyes only - What causes puffy eyes in the morning?

Swollen eyelids are caused by deficient lymphatic microcirculation in the eye contour area.
The “micro-pump” system of the lymphatic channels is much more efficient during the day, due to the thousands of blinks of the eyelids. At night, it slows down, as the eyelids are immobile. Moreover, it becomes overloaded with an accumulation of waste (water + salt). The tissues become distended, causing unsightly swelling in the morning. To prevent this, start by leading a healthy lifestyle and getting enough sleep, in addition to applying an appropriate product, which will help to reduce swelling.

If your eyes tend to be puffy in the morning or at the end of the day, eye gels will help rid the skin of waste that has not been properly eliminated during the night and reduce the severity of puffiness.

Puffiness is often hereditary and due to lymph stagnation and poor blood circulation. However, if your eyes always look tired, the problem is caused by fat. An effective cosmetic product will not be sufficient in this case.

Tip:
Before applying gel, spray spring water onto your skin to revive it. Applying warm compresses to the eyelids will have an initial decongesting effect.

Tip 1 - Tea bag

Tea isn’t just for sipping. You can actually use caffeinated tea bags under your eyes to help with dark circles and bags.

The caffeine in the tea contains powerful antioxidants and may increase blood flow to your skin.

Green tea, in particular, has been touted by researchers for its potential anti-inflammatory effects.

How to do this:

  • Steep two tea bags for 3 to 5 minutes.
  • Let the tea bags chill in the refrigerator for 20 minutes.
  • Then, squeeze out the extra liquid and apply to your under-eye area.
  • Leave the tea bags on for 15 to 30 minutes.
